As a complement to the experience, you will visit Warsaw, the capital of Poland and take a ferry ride for a day trip to Helsinki to feel a part of the scandinavian world. Tour Program
Day 1
After landing at Warsaw International Airport you will meet your tour director for a transfer to your hotel. Depending on the arrival time you can enjoy some free time in the city and take a rest before the trip.
Day 2
You will join a local experienced guide who will walk you through the highlights of this historical city. Starting from Castle Square, you will experience the UNESCO-listed Old Town and continue down the Royal Route packed with beautiful sites, each telling its unique story. After the tour, you will enjoy a lunch with delicious polish cuisine. The evening you can spend at the lively Vistula River banks and see stunning illuminations in the fountain park. Overnight in Warsaw.
Day 3
Today we have a half-day drive to Vilnius, Lithuania. You will enjoy lunch in a nice diner during the stop on our way. After arrival and hotel check-in in Vilnius, you will have a free afternoon to gather some energy for lots of sightseeing on the following day. The capital of Lithuania invites for a charming evening walk through beautifully illuminated historical architecture. Overnight in Vilnius.
Day 4
Today you will join a local guide to learn more about the rich history of the city. During a relaxing walk, you will see the Choral Synagogue, Gates of Dawn, Vilnius Cathedral and take a cable car up to the Gediminas Tower. After a nice lunch in a local restaurant, you will Visit Uzupis - a self-proclaimed republic with its own constitution, located in one of the city districts. Here you will feel the artistic spirit of the place with its artist studios, boutiques of local designers, trendy cafes and international restaurants. Overnight in Vilnius.
Day 5
After breakfast, we will drive outside the city to visit the biggest historical attraction of Lithuania, Trakai Castle. You will take a peek inside this stunning medieval fortification on water. After that, you will take a small relaxing boat cruise on the lakes surrounding the castle. Next, you will walk to the charming town to try the best regional food such as baked dumplings called „kibiny“. After lunch we will drive further to Latvia for check-in in the hotel and overnight in Riga.
Day 6
Embark on an eco-friendly 1-hour river cruise on the Daugava River and Riga City Canal and see top sights of the historical city center like the Freedom Monument and the Latvian National Theater. After the boat tour, you can stroll through the old town by yourself and visit the most interesting places like Riga Cathedral, St. Peter’s Church, House of the Blackheads and the Latvian National Opera. If you seek a little bit more nature experience, we can alternatively drive a bit outside the city for a boardwalk among the swamps in the Kemeri National Park. Overnight in Riga.
Day 7
Today we drive along the coast further north to Estonia. We will make a stop in the smallest „big city“ in Estonia, Pernau. With its beautiful wide beach and spa park, it is being called the summer capital of the country. After a nice walk on the sand and lunch in the restaurant, we will drive further to Tallinn for an overnight in the capital city.
Day 8
In Tallinn, you will take a walking tour of this amazing medieval city. Your local guide will tell stories about the historical events monuments such as Toompea Castle, Churches of Holy Ghost, St Nicolas and St. Olaf. If you prefer to stay more active a bike tour will be available as an option. On two wheels you will be able to cover a little bit bigger area, including Waterfront Promenade, Kadriorg Palace and more. After the tour, you will enjoy a nice lunch.
Day 9
Early in the morning, we will drive to the harbor for you to take a relaxing round-way cruise to Helsinki, Finland. After 2-hour crossing the Gulf of Finnland on a comfortable ferry with restaurants and bars, you will have about 6 hours to explore the UNESCO-listed Old Town. Shop, eat and stroll as you please. Alternatively, you can choose to see the city highlights on a short archipelago cruise. In the late afternoon, you will take a ferry back to Tallinn and return to your hotel for the overnight.
Day 10
Today we leave Tallinn and drive to Saaremaa, the biggest Estonian island. We will cross the water on a ferry together with our vehicle and drive further to Kuressaare, the capital of the island. After lunch in this charming small town, you will visit its biggest attraction, the Kuressaare Episcopal Castle. Inside it offers extensive and well-prepared exhibitions including the times of Vikings or the Second World War on these lands. Overnight in Kuressaare.
Day 11
On your second day on Saaremaa Island, you will visit Angla Windmill Park and the Heritage Culture Centre. This historical farm with its old hand-operated handicraft machines offers a good insight into the functionality and life of the past. Further on we head back for the ferry crossing to leave the island and drive further back to Riga. In Riga, you will have a nice farewell dinner in a restaurant. Overnight in Riga.
Day 12
After breakfast in the hotel, we will drive to the Riga International Airport for your flight home on the last day.
