Sightseeing in Poznan
Take a walking tour through Poznan, the historic capital of Poland. Its centuries-long significance as a key trading center in Poland has been greatly influenced by its advantageous location halfway between Berlin and Warsaw. The Old Town is famous for its vibrant Renaissance-style structures. A Town Hall Clock rises over the historic Market Square, where two billy goats can be seen bumping horns daily at noon. Continue your stroll to Ostrow Tumski, a Cathedral Island, where you may witness the Gothic and Baroque Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul, where Poland's first monarchs are interred. It is the oldest section of the city and it has a serene, meditative atmosphere.
Lunch
Step into a traditional polish eatery for lunch and try local, mostly made with meat and potatoes, like potatoes with “gzik”, grey dumplings, or meat soup. Also, try the best polish beer or regional stewed fruit beverage called kompot.
