Tour Description
Wittenberg, often known as the Lutherstadt, is a city in the German Bundesland of Saxony-Anhalt. Strong cultural historical and political influences, particularly in the 16th century, came from this area. The Reformation and the impact of Martin Luther’s actions are still well-known today in every country. In Eisleben, the second most important city on Luther’s trail, you will find Martin Luther’s birth house now turned into a greatly visited museum.

Hotel Pick-up
Your private driver and tour director will pick you up from your hotel in the Leipzig area at 8 a.m. You will enjoy free snacks and beverages during a pleasant drive to the city of Wittenberg where you will arrive around 10 a.m.
Lutherstadt Wittenberg
Wittenberg's top attraction is the Castle and All Saints' Church, particularly considering the 95 Theses of Martin Luther's publishing. Here you will see the famous gate to which the theses were nailed. Inside the Church Martin Luther's grave is to be found. After a short walk through the Market Square with Luther’s Monument you will visit the St. Mary's Town Church, where the first evangelical mass was held in 1521. Afterward, you will see LUTHER 1517 Panorama. This 360-degree piece of art was created by a famous artist Yadegar Asisi and portrays a cross-section of society at the time Martin Luther radically altered the course of religion, 500 years ago.
Lutherstadt Eisleben
From Wittenberg, it will take around 1,5 hour drive to the town of Eisleben. Here you will be able to visit Martin Luther’s Birth House and Dead House – both now turned into museums and a must-see for everybody on a Luther’s Trail.
Hotel Drop-off
Around 4 p.m. you will head back direction Leipzig to arrive at your hotel around 5:30 p.m.
