Tour Description
Our World War II History Tour is a must for everybody interested in Second World War history. Visiting both Poland and Germany gives the best insight into the conflict. From the most important battlegrounds, destroyed and rebuilt cities, through bunkers and hideouts of nazi occupants, to astonishing memorials and museums including heartbreaking museums of former ghettos and concentration camps.

Tour Program
Day 1
You will be picked up from the airport and transferred to your hotel where you can rest or, depending on the time of your arrival, have some free time in the capital of Germany.
Day 2
On the second day of your stay, you will take a tour with local guides and dive into Germany's darkest history. Learn about the rise and fall of the Nazi party, the Battle of Berlin, memorials for Third Reich victims, and the locations where Hitler and his henchmen made world-changing choices. After the tour, you will enjoy dinner in one of Berlin's diverse Restaurants.
Day 3
Today we will take a long drive to Danzig, Poland. After hotel check-in and dinner, you will have some free time to experience the city on your own and maybe have a nice walk on a sandy beach for a sunset over the Baltic Sea.
Day 4
On the second day in Danzig, you will see the Westerplatte monument. The battle for Westerplatte in the Free City of Danzig was the prelude to the invasion of Poland, which is considered the start of World War II. After that, you will visit the modern Museum of the Second World War and have dinner afterward.
Day 5
We will leave Danzig and drive further east to visit a holocaust memorial in Stutthof. On the way there we will take a ferry to cross the Vistula river. After leaving Stutthof you will enjoy a drive through the beautiful Masurian landscapes to enjoy your next accommodation and dinner in a local B&B.
Day 6
You will visit Wolf’s Lair - a fortified headquarters of Adolf Hitler deep in Masurian woods where he was planning on commanding the troops conquering the USSR. This is also the place where Claus von Stauffenberg made an unsuccessful attempt on Hitler's life. After the visit, we will have dinner and drive further to Warsaw.
Day 7
Today you will visit a Warsaw Uprising Museum to learn how the Polish underground resistance, led by the Polish resistance Home Army was trying to defend the city from the German army. After that, you will visit some of the other significant areas of the city, including the remaining of Jewish ghetto and a completely rebuilt old town with its Royal Castle.
Day 8
In the morning you will visit one of the most impressive new attractions in Warsaw - „POLIN“ The Museum of the History of Polish Jews, built next to the Monument to the Heroes of the Warsaw Ghetto. After the visit, we will drive to a historic polish capital, Cracow where you will enjoy dinner in the evening.
Day 9
Early in the morning, we will drive a bit outside the city to visit Auschwitz-Birkenau, a former complex of over 40 concentration and extermination camps operated by Nazi Germany in occupied Poland. After this long and emotional tour, you will enjoy dinner on the way to your hotel in Cracow.
Day 10
On your second day in Cracow, you will discover the city in an electric car with a guide who will show you a beautiful Old town, Wawel Hill, the Jewish District, and Oskar Schindler’s Factory where you will learn how one man saved 1,200 lives. After dinner, you will enjoy a short boat cruise on the Vistula River in the evening.
Day 11
We will travel direction Germany and shortly before the border, we will visit Stalag Luft III in the city of Sagan. This prisoner-of-war camp was mainly known for its breakouts. During the largest escape operation, more than 80 soldiers temporarily found their way to freedom. This outburst was filmed in 1962 under the title The Great Escape. After the visit, we will drive to a hotel in Dresden, Germany.
Day 12
You will discover Dresden, the city which was almost completely destroyed during allied bombing raids in 1945. You will visit The Bundeswehr Museum of Military History and see rebuilt Church of Our Lady (Frauenkirche) and Saxon State Opera (Semperoper).
Day 13
On our way back to Berlin we will make a stop at Colditz Castle. It is one of the most beautiful monuments of 16th-century architecture in central Germany. During World War II, it served as an important POW camp for high-ranking officers of the Allied forces. In The Museum of Fugitives, you will hear stories of many creative escape attempts - including secret tunnels and a secretly constructed glider. Afterward, you will have dinner and rest in a hotel nearby.
Day 14
On the last day, we will drive to the airport in Berlin for your flight home.
